Making Medical Billing Easy to Learn

I created Learn Medical Billing to make US medical billing easy to actually understand — not just memorize. Whether you’re switching careers, studying for a certification, or already working in billing and want to sharpen your skills, everything here is built from real claims, real denials, and real payer conversations, explained in plain language.

Our Mission

My goal is simple: make medical billing education practical and honest. I build every lesson from real-world AR calling and denial management work — not textbook theory — so students and career changers actually understand how claims move through the system, why they get denied, and how to get them paid.

I keep the core learning resources free because I remember how hard it was to find real, practitioner-level guidance when I was starting out. This site is what I wish existed back then.

What This Site Is Built On

Clarity

I explain every topic the way I’d explain it to a coworker — no medical background required, no jargon without a plain-language definition first.

Accuracy

Every guide is based on real billing workflows I use in my own work — CARC/RARC codes, payer follow-up steps, and claim scenarios pulled from actual AR calling, not generic templates.

Accessibility

Core lessons stay free. You can move at your own pace, and revisit any topic as many times as you need.

Creator’s Corner

About Me

Hi, I’m Manoj Konduru, the founder of Learn Medical Billing. I have 3+ years of experience in US healthcare Revenue Cycle Management.

I currently work as a Senior Process Associate – AR Caller, specializing in denial management, Medicare and commercial insurance follow-up, insurance verification, prior authorization, and AR follow-up. I work daily in eClinicalWorks (ECW) and have prior experience in EPIC.

I earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science, but found my real interest in US healthcare RCM — specifically the problem-solving side of getting denied claims paid.

I started this site after noticing how few resources online are written by people who actually work claims day to day. Most are either too academic or too generic. I wanted something built entirely from real scenarios.

I’m currently working toward the HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification, and I update this site as I learn.
